Do you allow corkage?
Yes, we welcome guests to bring their own wine.
Our corkage fee is £34 per bottle, with a maximum of two bottles for a table of 2 and three bottles for a table of 3-4 guests.
Are you dog-friendly?
Yes, your four-legged companions are very welcome to Volta do Mar. We’d love them to join you.
Diets and special requirements
Can you cater for dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances?
Should any of your guests have dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to cater to them.
Accessibility
Is the restaurant accessible for guests with mobility requirements?
At Volta do Mar, we welcome everyone comfortably.
While we do not have a permanent ramp on site, we are happy to arrange step-free access upon request.
Please do let us know in advance, and we will make sure everything is ready for your arrival.

South Kensington station is just a few minutes’ walk away, served by the District, Circle, and Piccadilly Lines.

How do I make a reservation?
You can either book a table through our website, OpenTable, Fork, by phone, or by emailing us directly at reservations@voltadomar.co.uk, whichever is most convenient for you.
Private Dining & Events
I am booking for a larger group. What should I do?
For parties of 10 or more, contact us directly at events@voltadomar.co.uk so we can ensure we find the best space and overall experience for reservation.

Our Private Dining spaces are well-suited for corporate lunches, team dinners, client entertaining, and celebrations of all kinds. We’d love to help you plan the perfect occasion. Please get in touch with our events team to find out more.
How many guests can you accommodate for Private Dining?
We offer two dedicated private dining spaces to suit different occasions.
- The Kitchen’s Table - Ideal for intimate gatherings of 8 to 12 guests
- Behind the Curtain - Our larger space, accommodating up to 16 guests seated or up to 30 for a standing reception.
For larger celebrations, we also offer full venue hires.

At Volta do Mar, we celebrate the rich and diverse culinary traditions of the Lusophone world through the cultures and countries connected by the Portuguese language. From Portugal itself to Brazil, Mozambique, Cape Verde, and beyond.
Our menu brings these influences together in a warm and modern setting.
Do you offer a set lunch menu?
Yes, we offer a set lunch menu from Tuesday to Friday until 6:30pm, perfect for a relaxed midweek meal or business lunch.
