​Volta do Mar is helmed by a dynamic husband-and-wife team, each bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the restaurant.

Isabel Almeida da Silva – Co-Founder

Isabel hails from Portugal and boasts over 27 years in the hospitality industry, having worked at esteemed establishments like The Wolseley and Marco Pierre White's Mirabelle. She also spent time at Michelin-starred Joël in Atlanta. At Volta do Mar, Isabel manages both front and back of house operations, contributes to menu development, and crafts cocktails that reflect the restaurant's Portuguese roots.

Simon Mullins

Simon began his career in advertising, working with notable firms like Leo Burnett and WPP Group. He later transitioned into the hospitality industry, co-founding the acclaimed Salt Yard Group and opening several successful restaurants across Central London. At Volta do Mar, Simon oversees the financial and legal aspects of the business, as well as the interior design and wine list curation.
