Portugal is unlocking its huge potential with exciting wines offering the perfect combination of value and quality. A combination of distinctive indigenous varieties matched to a wide range of terroirs from coastal to mountainous and cool to hot, allows the current generation of talented winemakers to produce high quality from across the country in all styles.

Amathus Drinks just added 40 new Portuguese wines from 14 wineries to its portfolio. These include some of the finest producers from each of the main Portuguese wine regions.

The full range of new wines will be on taste here at London’s most exciting new Portuguese restaurant, Volta do Mar in Covent Garden.

You will be able to try wines from the following producers: - Douro Vertice & Quanta Terra from Douro Valley
- Quinta do Melgaco from Vinho Verde
- The Azores Wine Company from the Azores
- Herarde de Arrepiado from Alentejano / Alentejo
- Vadio from Bairrada
- Casa das Gaieras from Lisboa
- Quinta do Monte d'Oiro from Lisboa
- Quinta Pedra da Cancela from Dao
- Casa Cadaval from Tejo
- Quinta de Maritávora from Douro Valley
- Sericaia from Alentejo
- Casca Wines from Beira
- Lua Cheia from Vinho Verde

A ticket for one person costs £15 with £10 redeemable against any wine purchase or booking at the restaurant during the evening.

Also trade tasting is opened from 10am-5pm.
